Our History

Total Environment was founded in 1992 as a lawn maintenance company with a passion for delivering exceptional landscaping services. Over the years, we expanded our expertise and service offerings, evolving into a full-service Design-Build-Maintain firm with a reputation for excellence.

As our company grew, so did our vision. We established Sharper Image in 2004, extending our commitment to quality and customer service in landscape maintenance. We also launched Midwest Irrigation, specializing in high-quality lawn sprinkler system installation, maintenance and repair for commercial and residential properties. To further enhance outdoor spaces, we introduced Exo-Design, providing expert outdoor lighting and automated mosquito-repelling systems tailored to each property's unique needs.

In 2021, Total Environment joined HeartLand, a partnership that has empowered us to expand our reach, refine our expertise and continue delivering top-tier landscape solutions while staying true to our core values.

Today, Total Environment remains a leader in the industry, blending decades of experience with a forward-thinking approach to create and maintain extraordinary landscapes.
